Two ways to work together

In person in Willoughby

A quiet room on the second floor, free parking, and a counsellor across from you. Some people find it easier to open up away from home, and some prefer it for EMDR in particular.

20727 Willoughby Town Centre Dr, Building C 200, Langley. Directions and a map

Online anywhere in BC

The same sessions over secure video, at the same fee. No drive, no traffic, and you can switch between online and in person at any point.

Appointments run every day, 8am to 8pm, in English and Farsi.

Where clients come from

Langley

Most of Langley is within 15 minutes of the office.

The office sits in Willoughby Town Centre, so for most of Langley Township and Langley City this is the local option. Walnut Grove and Fort Langley are a short drive north, Murrayville and Brookswood a short drive south.

Surrey

About 10 minutes from Clayton and Cloverdale, 20 to 30 from Guildford, Newton and South Surrey.

Clayton and Cloverdale border Willoughby, so for the east side of Surrey the office is often closer than anything in central Surrey. From Guildford it is a straight run east on Highway 1, and from Fleetwood and Newton it is Fraser Highway.

Coquitlam and the Tri-Cities

About 25 to 35 minutes over the Port Mann Bridge outside rush hour.

From the Tri-Cities the office is one bridge away, and the exit is a few minutes from the building. Many Tri-Cities clients do most of their sessions online and come in for the ones they would rather have in the room.

Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows

About 30 minutes over the Golden Ears Bridge.

Most Maple Ridge clients meet online, and some prefer the drive. Maple Ridge has its own page with more on both.

Counselling for Maple Ridge

Abbotsford and Mission

About 30 to 35 minutes west on Highway 1 from central Abbotsford, longer from Mission.

For Abbotsford the office is a highway drive with no bridge in the way, which makes the timing more predictable than the trips into Vancouver that people from the Fraser Valley usually face. Mission clients often choose online for weekday sessions.

Questions about location

Is there an office in Surrey, Coquitlam or Abbotsford?
No. There is one office, in Willoughby, Langley. Everywhere else is served by clients driving in or by meeting online. This page says so plainly because it matters when you are deciding.
Is online counselling as effective as meeting in person?
For most people and most concerns, yes. What matters most is the fit with the counsellor and keeping the sessions going, and online removes the most common reason people stop, which is the travel. The free consultation is a good place to talk through which suits you.
Can I do some sessions online and some in person?
Yes. Nothing is locked in at the first appointment. Some people start online and come in later, some alternate, and some do the reverse.
I live outside these areas. Can I still book?
Yes, if you are in British Columbia at the time of the session. Online sessions are available anywhere in the province.

Counselling is only offered to people physically located in British Columbia at the time of the session, which is a condition of the registration, not a preference.
