Does any of this sound familiar?
- Childhood experiences you thought you had moved past, still shaping how you feel about yourself and others.
- Reacting to people the way you once had to react to a parent, without meaning to.
- Telling yourself it wasn't that bad, while still carrying the weight of it.
- Wanting to give your own children something different, and not always knowing how.
What happened to you matters.
Experiences from childhood shape how we see ourselves and how we connect with others, often in ways we don't notice until much later. You shouldn't have to keep carrying what happened back then, and you don't have to face it on your own. You won't be asked to relive every detail.

Have questions about counselling for childhood experiences?
Does it have to be a single big event to count?
No. Many people carry the effects of years of smaller experiences, like criticism, neglect or a home that never felt safe. If the past still affects you today, it is worth talking about.
Do I have to talk about everything that happened?
No. You decide what to share and when. Approaches like EMDR work by noticing what comes up, not by recounting every detail.
Do you offer virtual sessions?
Yes. Sessions are available in person in Langley and online anywhere in British Columbia, in English or Farsi.
Fees
The 20 minute consultation is free. Sessions start at $170. There is no wait list, and direct billing is available for many extended health plans. Counselling with a Registered Clinical Counsellor is exempt from GST, so the price shown is the price you pay.

Left alone, old experiences tend to keep echoing, in how you treat yourself, the relationships you choose, and sometimes in the next generation. The echo can stop with you.
